Overview
This trip is an invitation to experience Argentina at its most expansive and awe-inspiring—from the creative pulse of Buenos Aires to the raw, untamed landscapes of Patagonia. Here, culture and nature meet at the edge of the Andes, where towering peaks, turquoise lakes, and ancient glaciers shape both the land and the way of life. End of March is an ideal time to visit Argentine Patagonia because it offers a perfect blend of autumnal, golden-red landscapes, significantly fewer crowds compared to summer (January/February), and milder winds.
We travel intentionally, guided by locals who open doors to places and moments few travelers ever access. Each day balances culture, adventure and reflection—whether that’s eating and drinking your way through Buenos Aires, hiking beneath Fitzroy’s jagged mountain spires in El Chaltén that inspired the clothing brand, Patagonia’s logo, or standing quietly on the immense Perito Moreno Glacier. This is not just a trip through Argentina; it’s a journey into its wild heart—designed to leave you grounded, inspired, and deeply connected. Great for couples, friends or solo travelers.
Accommodations
Our accommodations are selected for their sense of warmth, character, and connection to their surroundings. In Buenos Aires, we stay in a modern, locally inspired boutique hotel in Palermo—one of the city’s most beloved neighborhoods. This is where Buenos Aires truly comes alive: buzzing wine bars and parrillas, compelling art and design, and stylish nights that unfold over cocktails and dancing, if the mood strikes.
In Patagonia, serene lodges are set against dramatic natural beauty. In El Chaltén and El Calafate, we stay in thoughtfully chosen 4+ star lodges offering awe-inspiring views, inviting spaces to unwind, and nourishing international cuisine. After full days on the trails, saunas and spa amenities invite restoration, while cozy interiors and expansive landscapes make it easy to unplug and fully absorb the power of this remarkable place.
Food & Wine
Food in Argentina is about more than sustenance—it’s about gathering, storytelling, and taking time. Throughout the trip we share meals that reflect the regions we’re in: lively Buenos Aires dinners filled with conversation, hearty Patagonian meals after long hikes, and fireside evenings centered around local ingredients and traditions.
Argentina’s food and wine culture is built on connection—long meals, shared bottles, and recipes passed down through generations (including enjoying some of the best empanadas on earth). In Buenos Aires, we visit La Fuerza Bar, named one of Time Magazine’s Top 100 Greatest Places in the World, for a VIP vermouth and spritz tasting. In Patagonia, the experience continues with a guided tasting of award-winning Argentine wines at dinners, including selections recognized among the ‘Top 100 Wines’ by Wine Spectator. Guests have the option to purchase wines and have them shipped directly home after the trip—so you can enjoy the bottles without carrying them back in your suitcase.
Adventure
Adventure on this trip unfolds through Patagonia’s most iconic landscapes, experienced in a way that feels considered, comfortable, and deeply rewarding. Within Los Glaciares National Park, our days feature guided hikes toward Mount Fitz Roy, gentle approaches to Laguna Torres and unforgettable moments at Laguna Capri, where jagged peaks rise above glacial waters in breathtaking scale. In El Calafate, arrive by boat at the Perito Moreno Glacier and choose between a guided mini ice trek or kayak on the glacier or a more leisurely exploration, taking in the sweeping views from surrounding paths.
Each experience is thoughtfully paced—designed to be immersive without feeling demanding—allowing time to pause, take in the scenery, and truly be present. Massive glaciers, wide-open skies, and pristine trails create those rare moments where photos stop living on your phone and become frame-worthy memories you’ll want to bring home. Between adventures, we return to refined lodges where warm interiors, attentive hospitality, and beautifully prepared meals offer a sense of ease and restoration. This is outdoor exploration elevated—luxurious in its simplicity, expansive in its beauty, and unforgettable long after the journey ends.
